“What if who we are and what we do become one and the same? What if our work is so thoroughly autobiographical that we can’t parse the product from the person? In this place, job descriptions and titles no longer make sense; we no longer go to work, we are the work.”

Always live your life with your biography in mind.

Who I am.

You might be wondering why I study donor-conception. Well, it’s MEsearch.

In 1990, I was conceived by anonymous sperm donation in Boston, MA. My parents disclosed my birth status when I was very young and this discovery sparked my passion for reading, writing, and exploring the psychology behind donor-conception. In my first foray into this topic, a thorough literature search turned up several studies that examined donor-conception and family relationships. However, previous investigations did not approach it from an attachment theoretical perspective. Well, that’s how my primary line of research was born! Although I have other projects/interests, I remain fully dedicated to this work and look forward to developing basic and applied research in this area.
